The Swarm U-10 girls AYSO soccer team recently finished an extended season that featured unprecedented success. The South Lake Tahoe club concluded their season at the Western State Championships March 19-20 in Bullhead City, Arizona, placing fourth overall against competition from five states.

At the tournament that featured more than 500 teams, the Swarm played Southern California teams from Hawthorne and Downey. Teams from California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Alaska competed in the final playoffs of the season.

The Swarm began its postseason run by winning the AYSO Region 282 playoffs in South Lake Tahoe. The team then won two more tournaments — Cookies Best in Carson City and Section 2 in Foster City, California — en route to the Western State Championships.
