Barton Health expanding free sports physicals for South Shore student-athletes; to be offered June 29, July 20, Aug. 10

Staff report

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — Barton Health is offering pre-participation physicals for students who were not able to attend the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics sports physicals event in May at South Tahoe High. All high school, middle school, and Pop Warner athletes from the Tahoe area can participate.

The free physicals are available at Barton Urgent Care and Family Practice on three dates this summer. They will be offered for free from 9 a.m. to noon on the following dates: Wednesday, June 29, Wednesday, July 20, and Wednesday, Aug. 10.

All students should bring their completed medical history forms to the physical. Forms may be picked up in each school’s front office, through the student’s Pop Warner football coach, or at Barton Urgent Care and Family Practice. A parent or guardian must be present at the physical.

These physicals are generously provided by physicians and medical staff from Barton Urgent Care and Family Practice, located at 155 Highway 50 in Stateline; no appointment is required. For more information, contact Barton Urgent Care and Family Practice at 775-589-8900 or Sue McLaughlin in Barton Public Relations at 530-543-5615.
