The showcase will be held at the community ballfield starting at 8 p.m. and will feature students expected to try out for the school’s first-ever intercollegiate men’s and women’s soccer teams in the fall.

The school’s student’s activities organization will be serving free hotdogs for all spectators.

Also coming to town is another showcase, the Lake Tahoe boys and girls college soccer ID camp. That’s set to take place June 19-20.

The times will be 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.

The camp is open to all male and female players eighth- through 12th-grade with players separated by gender. The University of Notre Dame women’s soccer coach is expected to attend as well as coaches from the University of Nevada, St. Mary’s College, Chico State, Sonoma State, Lamar University and others.

Coaches will give a recruiting presentation at the end of the first day and spend time meeting with players at the end of the second day. Each camper is provided lunch on Friday, the first day of camp.
