Fred Alexander Memorial Family Golf Clinic returns to Eagle Valley Golf Course on May 22, free for kids ages 6-17

CARSON CITY, Nev. — Local kids will have the chance to learn the game of golf for free next month at Eagle Valley Golf Course. The 24th annual Fred Alexander Memorial Family Golf Clinic returns to the Carson City course Sunday, May 22, a free event for children ages 6-17 and their families.

The free clinic provides an introduction to golf with a trick shot exhibition from world-renowned performer Peter Longo, and individual lessons from more than 40 Northern California PGA Sierra Nevada Chapter professionals and apprentices. All participants will receive prizes, a snack, a T-shirt while supplies last, a backpack and a golf club while quantities last (for those that don’t have equipment of their own).

Registration is available online at http://www.alexandergolfclinic.com, and must be completed by Saturday, May 21, at 4 p.m. Applications can also be faxed to 800-335-7716 with the same deadline.

Those interested in registering by mail or dropping off the form can do so addressed to Calculated Industries, Attn: Fred Alexander Clinic, 4840 Hytech Dr., Carson City, NV 89706. The deadline for mailed and dropped off applications is Friday, May 20, at 2 p.m.

On the day of the event, registration begins at 10:30 a.m., and the clinic is scheduled to run from 11:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. For more information, call 775-772-6180 (English) or 775-298-2982 (Spanish).
