At the inaugural Coyote Classic, golfers can drive, chip and putt while supporting the Lake Tahoe Community College men’s and women’s soccer programs. The fundraiser tournament will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Lake Tahoe Golf Course.

LTCC soccer players will be at all 18 holes during the tournament, and coaches and mascots will also be on hand to say hello and take pictures. The round is a 2 p.m. shotgun start with a raffle, silent auction and barbecue dinner following play.

Cost to play in the tournament is $125 per player or $475 for a foursome, and includes green fees, driving range access before, a staged cart, two drink tickets, hot dogs and an evening barbecue on the LTGC patio. It also allows for entry into contests at the closest-to-the-pin and long-drive holes along with the hole-in-one contest for a car.

Other options available are a full sponsorship for $600, which includes a foursome, hole signage and logos in the tournament marketing material, and a hole sponsorship for $150. Registration can be done online at, and payment is due in full by Friday, Sept. 2.
