Cole Snyder is still a freshman, but he’s already turning in top times against some speedy competition.

The Whittell cross-country runner finished in fourth place among junior varsity boys at the Reed Invitational Friday, Oct. 11. He ran the 3.1-mile course in 19:14, averaging about 6:17 per mile. The time was by far a personal best this year for the Whittell runner, and suggests he will be a speedy force to be reckoned with in the years to come.

Gabe Rusk (71st, 22:55), Scott Harrison (103, 27:38) and Rudy Mata (105, 28:50) rounded out the boys top times.

Among the girls, Keatzia Aldana, also turned in a personal best for the season. The junior finished 56th coming in at 29:20. Aisha Ceron (63, 30:03) and Gisele Aldana (66, 30:15) rounded out the girls top times.
