Lake Tahoe Community College women’s team crushes Redwoods

Graciela Palencia had a goal and three assists, Rebecca Niblett had two goals and an assist, Annie Brejc had two goals and Jenny Camacho added three assists Friday as the Lake Tahoe Community College women’s soccer team beat Redwoods 9-0 in a Golden Valley Conference game in Davis.

It was the 11th consecutive conference victory and 12th overall for the Lady Coyotes, who are ranked No. 10 nationally in this week’s poll and have already clinched the GVC title.

Goalkeeper Claudia Janese recorded her 15th shutout of the season.

Lake Tahoe (15-2-3 overall, 11-0 conference) finished the regular season Tuesday afternoon against second-place Shasta College in Redding.
