LTGC delays opening until April 14

Tribune Staff Report

Lake Tahoe Golf Course has delayed the opening of its driving range because of the reappearance of winter-like weather in the Tahoe Basin.

The 18-hole course in Meyers had planned to open its driving range Friday, but will likely hold off until April 14. According to LTGC’s head professional Michael Durst, the course will also open at least nine holes at the same time.

“It’s really day by day,” Durst said. “We need a little more warm weather for the grass to grow.”
