North Shore team storms to hockey title

Keegan Dhue scored a natural hat trick to lead the Storm to a 4-3 victory over the Tahoe “Fat Old Guys” in a city of South Lake Tahoe Parks & Recreation hockey title match on Sunday.

Jeff Moran scored the Storm’s first goal in the opening period in the Summer Adult A League title match at South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena. Steve Sexton and Matt Hamilton provided two assists apiece for the champions from the North Shore.

The Tahoe FOG was led by Derrick Wagner, who netted a pair of goals. John Illvento got the FOG on the board first with a goal at the 13-minute, 24-second mark of the opening period.

Tahoe’s John Grimes and Frank Gubello set up two of the goals with an assist each.
