Reno man wins 5K and 10K

Chris Badolato of Reno won the Lake Tahoe Marathon’s 5K race Saturday at Valhalla.

Badolato negotiated the 3.1-mile course in a course record 17 minutes, 15 seconds. The Reno runner also won Sunday’s 10K race, finishing just ahead of South Tahoe High boys cross country coach Dominique Westlake.

Andrea King of Stateline was the top women, completing the run in 20:15, also a course record.
