After two tight defeats in the Nevada Little League 9-10 district tournament, South Tahoe’s all-stars were presented with a different kind of adversity on Tuesday night in Reno.

Reno Continental brought its “A” game to Swope Park and South Tahoe did all it could to keep the powerhouse club in check over two innings. But Reno struck for a big third inning and used near-perfect pitching throughout to down South Tahoe 20-0 in four innings.

Colton Marchesseault of South Tahoe broke up Reno’s no-hitter with a double in the top of the fourth inning. Bo Hallam followed with a walk but both youngsters were left on base.
