While many can’t wait for the chance to throw snowballs, Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort is preparing for the upcoming ski and snowboard season with a fight of a different variety. The resort’s annual Sierra Snowball Fight dodgeball tournament and winter kickoff party will return to Steamers Bar and Grill on Thursday, Nov. 10.
Registration is open online at Sierra-at-Tahoe’s website, and teams can be five or six players — with five on the court during a game. Costumes and uniforms are encouraged, but not required on the 25-by-40 court outside Steamers.
Sierra Snowball Fight starts next Thursday at 6 p.m. with check-in, creation of the bracket and general admission — spectators are welcome to the party. The dodgeball will take place from 6:30 p.m. until a champion is crowned, and the event will feature live music, drink specials and giveaways.
Steamers is located at 2236 Lake Tahoe Blvd. in South Lake Tahoe. For more information about Sierra Snowball Fight, visit http://www.sierraattahoe.com or email khunter@sierraattahoe.com.
