Skating school sign-ups under way

Tribune Staff Reports

The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena is currently taking sign-ups for the next eight-week skating school session.

Lessons will be offered starting the week of Sept. 2 and will run through Oct. 26. All classes are taught by the arena’s professional “International Skating Institute” staff.

Skate school lessons are offered for all ages, from learn-to-skate to figure skating and hockey, at beginner through advanced levels. Classes are 1/2-hour long and are held one day per week for eight weeks. Classes are available weekdays and Saturdays.

The cost is $80 for the session. Skaters also receive a pass to practice on a public session each week.

For details, call the Ice Arena at (530) 542-6262 or stop by 1176 Rufus Allen Blvd.
