Soccer camps forming at Kahle

Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a pair of soccer camps for children ages 4-16 at Kahle Park.

Whittell High School boys’ soccer coach Steve Maltase will oversee the camps scheduled for July 23-27 and Aug. 6-10. College and high school players will assist with the camp.

Campers will learn team concepts and strategy and improve their skills through drills and scrimmages. Cost is $125.

Lil’ Kicks ages 4-6 will be instructed in a separate camp at a cost of $95 per child.

Preregistration is required. Campers are responsible for wearing cleats and shinguards, bringing a water bottle and sack lunch and wearing sunscreen.
