SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — The South Tahoe football team is back on the gridiron. The Vikings kicked off camp Wednesday at Viking Stadium, holding their first official practice of the 2015 season.

South Tahoe focused on offense during its first practice, and most of the two-hour session was devoted to the ground game. Practice started with individual drills and conditioning — players wore shirts and shorts as part of NIAA’s heat acclimatization period, which continues through Saturday.

The Vikings open their 2015 campaign at home against El Dorado (Placerville, Calif.) on Aug. 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
