The South Tahoe junior varsity football team held off Dayton for a 20-14 victory Friday night, improving to 3-4 on the season. The Vikings sealed their second straight victory by stopping the Dustdevils on fourth-and-6 inside the red zone — Dayton threw a jump ball toward the end zone, and South Tahoe’s Noah Jackson and Zen Contestable made sure it wasn’t caught inbounds.

South Tahoe quarterback Tommy Cefalu two touchdown passes in the win — one to Jake Miller and one to Noah Jackson — and running back Jake Bernal ran for a score. The victory was the Vikings’ second in a row.
