SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — For the first time this summer, a twosome took home the title at South Tahoe SUP Series. Josiah Brackett and Summit Moulton won Wednesday night’s race at El Dorado Beach by a wide margin, the third of the series hosted by South Tahoe Standup Paddle.

Riding tandem, Brackett and Moulton blazed through the course in 17:28. The duo finished three minutes clear of the 33-paddler field, and punctuated the victory with handstands at the finish line.

Joshua Brackett was the top individual finisher, completing the race in 20:22. Levi Largent (20:41), Phil Moulton (20:58) and Chris Brackett (21:09) rounded out the top five — Chris Brackett raced with son Jack on the front of his board.

Wednesday night’s most awesome awards went to Gary Ervine and Allen Aldridge. All racers completed the short course in less than 35 minutes.

South Tahoe SUP Series resumes on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
