South Tahoe tennis players qualify for zone

Tribune Staff Report

Three South Tahoe High boys tennis players have qualified for the Northern Nevada 4A zone tournament, scheduled for Friday in Reno.

Sophomore Colin Moulton will represent the Vikings in the singles division, while freshmen Brian Ware and Jody Michal will team on the doubles side.

“It’ll be good experience for them. We’re just glad to have the opportunity to compete with the top players in the league,” said Tahoe coach Pat Fagen. “Our whole philosophy for the season is to build for the future. It’s been a success from that standpoint.”

The boys team finished the regular with a loss to Wooster on Tuesday, 17-5.5. The Vikes ended the season at 1-12.
