STHS swim teams sweep Panthers

Both the South Tahoe boys’ and girls’ swim teams enjoyed lopsided victories over North Valleys on Saturday at Northwest Pool in Reno.

Nathan Hansen (200 freestyle, 100 backstroke), Evan Rabbetts (200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke), Joe Stanton (50 freestyle) and David Wise (200 freestyle) won individual races in leading the Vikings to a 179-63 win over the Panthers.

In the girls’ competition, Hanna Bratton (200 freestyle, 100 fly), Amy Wilson (200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke), Casey Delacruz (500 freestyle) and Brooke Borges (100 backstroke) all posted victories in their 164-108 win.

South Tahoe returns to the pool on Saturday in Minden for the Zephyr League Relays.
