The South Tahoe High swimming team was swept by Carson High on Tuesday, giving the Vikings’ boys their first loss of the season.

The Senators won 130-76 on the boys’ side, while the girls score was more lopsided at 190-84.

The meet started on a high note as the boys’ 200 medley relay came down to a photo finish. The Carson team ended up winning by less than a second, but the South Tahoe team set the school record for the second time this season.

Melissa Anstett scored the only win for the South Tahoe girls, taking first place in the 100 backstroke, while Zack Powers was the lone winner for the boys in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke.

South Tahoe faces Spanish Springs High on Friday, with the meet to take place at Fallon High.
