Andy Bourelle

The last day to register for this year’s Tahoe Rim Trail Back Country Camp is Aug. 12.

The camp, held Aug. 14 through 16, is an event that gives outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to work on the 150-mile trail, sleep outdoors and enjoy the camaraderie of others helping, according to the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Tahoe Rim Trail workers will set up the camp site and prepare meals.

The camp is limited to 45 people, and the cost is $45 regardless of the number of days attended. For children under 12 years of age, the cost is $30. The fee covers all meals.

When interested individuals have registered, the Tahoe Rim Trail will send them an information packet and directions.

The camp location will be in the Ward Canyon area near Tahoe City.

To sign up, people are asked to call the Tahoe Rim Trail at (702) 588-0686.
