Tahoe team competes in Reno

In October and November, several South Tahoe bowlers who participate in leagues at Tahoe Bowl competed in the Storm National Mixed Tournament at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno.

The tournament was held each weekend from early October through Nov. 12, but the South Shore team of Mike Stewart, Rosie Hailey, Arlene Hailey and Lenny Lopez competed on Nov. 11.

Among the highlights for the local bowlers were Arlene Hailey’s 266 game and her 646 series – both personal bests at the National Bowling Stadium. Stewart also recorded personal bests at the venue in the game (222) and series (579) categories.

Lopez rolled a 237 game and a 634 series in his first stint at the stadium, while Rosie Hailey had a 163 game and a 434 series in her first action at the acclaimed stadium.
