Viking golfers shave strokes

South Tahoe’s girls’ golf team continues to improve, taking third Wednesday at the Rubyview Golf Course in Elko.

The team shot 482, eight strokes better than last time.

Adrienne “Dede” Crist led the team with a score of 89. Kalotina Monos was next for South Tahoe with 92; followed by Jacy Gleave at 94, her best ever score in competition; and Holly Young at 103 – also her best score in competition. Freshman Mollie Novasel shot 104 in her first-ever varsity golf round.



Galena took the tournament with a score of 455. Following were Elko at 478, South Tahoe at 482, Spanish Springs at 500, Carson City at 508 and Reed at 510.
