Warriors beat Smith Valley
Six Whittell High boys basketball players scored eight or more points in a 75-62 nonleague victory over Smith Valley on Tuesday in Smith Valley.
Senior Bryan Sigel led the Warriors with 22 points. Nick Summers had 16 points, Joel Warnick 10, Luke Forvilly nine, Alex Swearingen nine and Nestor Flores eight.
Whittell, 9-12 overall, lead by as many as 25 points in the third period.
The Whittell girls lost to Smith Valley, 47-29. Other details weren’t available at press time.
