Whittell softball loses

Dayton High’s Jennifer Dillie proved to be unhittable for Whittell High’s softball team on Thursday, as the Dust Devil’s senior pitcher had a perfect five-inning game and struck out 14 of the 15 Warriors batters she faced in an 11-0 Dayton win.

With the win, Dayton improved to 3-0 this season in division while Whittell fell to 0-4.

In addition to her pitching, Dillie led the Dust Devils at the plate by going 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Meredith Shaw took the loss for the Warriors.
