Couldn’t be BETTER

The third and final USASA South Tahoe Series slopestyle event was hosted this past weekend on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Sierra-at-Tahoe.

In total, 65 athletes on skis and snowboards participated from South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Truckee, the West Slope, Sacramento and the Bay Area. The event included rails and jumps for boys and girls, men and women, skiers and snowboarders.

The snow conditions could not have been better on what turned out to be a bluebird day. The event took place at the Alley.

The Sierra-at-Tahoe staff and snowcat operators built an unbelievable park, and Jersey Jay announced the event in his usual dramatic “hang on to your seat” style.

The next event is on Sunday, March 5, at Sierra-at-Tahoe. There will actually be two events: an 18’ half pipe double header on Aspen West. Anyone can participate as long as they register with USASA online in advance (USASA.org) or at the Solistice on The Plaza at Sierra-at-Tahoe at 8 a.m. March 5. This will also be a great event to watch the athletes fly, so bring your friends.
