Returning this season are leagues for third- through six-grade boys and girls. New for this fall is a program designed for the younger athlete — kindergarten through second-grade boys and girls.
Third- and fourth-graders will play on Tuesdays between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., while fifth- and sixth-graders compete on Thursdays between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Both leagues will emphasize skill development and fun competition.
Practice for each league begins in mid-November and games starts in December and runs through March. Teams will be formed by random selection. Register through Oct. 14 and pay the $50 per player fee at Kahle, 236 Kingsbury Grade in Stateline. Each player will receive a team T-shirt and award.
The new program will emphasize fun competition while introducing the young players to the game’s fundamentals.
Participants will be assigned a team by random selection and coached by volunteers. The cost is $20 per child.
Registration runs through Oct. 14 at Kahle Community Center. Games will be played on Saturday mornings. Practices start in mid-November, with games commencing in November. Players will receive a team T-shirt and award.
