Zephyr Cove Tennis Club kicks off 2014 season
The Zephyr Cove Tennis Club kicks off its season at noon Saturday.
The season starts with a doubles mixer open to players of all abilities. Rob Wheatly, a Zephyr Cove Tennis Club pro, will be available to talk and play tennis. The event is free to members and $10 for non-members and includes a barbecue. Those who attend are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert and beverages of their choosing.
The tennis club is a non-profit foundation run by volunteers and donations from members with courts at Zephyr Cove Park. Memberships will be on sale during the event with fees of $80 per year or $140 for two years.
This year, the club is partnering with the county library turning a section into a pro shop and gaining access to its restrooms.
Zephyr Cove Tennis Club is located on Warrior Way off Highway 50 in Zephyr Cove. More information about the club can be found on http://www.zctennis.com.
