Lake Tahoe weather: Cold, blustery conditions in forecast; snow possible Friday
The week will start with sunshine, chilly temperatures and windy conditions at Lake Tahoe.
The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a lake wind advisory through 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Winds will range from 15-30 mph with gusts as strong as 45 mph. Waves could be 2-4 feet, with the highest waves expected on West Shore.
The high temperature at the lake Monday will reach 26 degrees, according to the weather service. The low will be 15 degrees.
Tuesday will be slightly warmer, with a high of 32 degrees in South Lake Tahoe and 29 in Incline Village. Lows will hit 19 degrees in South Lake and 20 in Incline. Winds will range from 10-15 mph, with gusts as strong as 25 mph.
Wednesday and Thursday will be significantly warmer, with high temperatures in the mid 40s. Lows will range from the mid 20s to low 30s.
Conditions through Thursday will be mostly sunny.
Friday will bring a slight chance of snow showers, according to the weather service.
