After a week of smoke and haze from nearby wildfires, the Tahoe Basin appears to be in store for a clear, late summer weekend.

The forecast through Monday calls for sunny and warm conditions through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service. Friday’s high temperature will reach 81 degrees in South Lake Tahoe. Incline Village will see a high of 77 degrees.

While the above-average temperatures and typical breezes are expected into the start of next week, cooler temperatures are expected next week.

“Starting Tuesday, a significant cooling trend along with stronger winds is expected as low pressure moves into the Pacific Northwest,” the service reports.
