Pollock Pines man identified as motorcyclist killed in crash on Spooner Summit

A Pollock Pines man was identified as the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Spooner Summit.

A 19-year-old Pollock Pines man was killed after being ejected from his motorcycle on Spooner Summit Saturday.

Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) on Tuesday identified the victim as Justin A. Breese.

Breese was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 on a black 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle, according to NHP. He lost control of the bike about 1 mile east of the summit just before noon on Saturday. Breese was ejected from the bike. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the wreck. Speed may be a contributing factor in this crash, according to NHP.
