With an unusual blend of stand-up, improvisation, and twisted visual magic, Chipper has twice been honored with the Merlin award for “Comedy Magician of the Year!” by the International Magicians Society. He was also named as one of the “Top Funniest Magicians” performing today by Magic Magazine, and received “Specialty Act of the Year!” from the Tahoe Daily Tribune.

His childhood could be considered pretty normal, if normal was traveling around the world on various circuses and arena shows with his parents. His mother performed as a dancer and aerialist, while his father was a professional clown, touring “on the road” with shows like Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, and Disney On Parade. At around age 16, Chipper discovered he enjoyed poking fun at all the variety arts that surrounded him, and he soon developed his own style of mixing comedy into his original magic routines.

He has performed all over the world, including the United States, Mexico, England, Canada, Nassau, Aruba, Malaysia, Dubai, Australia, and New Zealand. His one-man show, “The Chipper Lowell Experience!” ran for a record-breaking 600 performances in Lake Tahoe, where he was named one of the “Top Three Live Stage Comedians” for 2006 by the Sacramento Bee, alongside Lewis Black and Lily Tomlin. His television appearances include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, General Hospital, The Disney Channel, The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, Show Me The Funny!, Empty Nest, and America’s Funniest People! When not performing, he lives in Southern California with his wife, his son, and a mortgage.
