To try and decide each week where and what to eat around the basin can be a challenge – there are so many amazing choices. In this feature we’ll dive into dishes that will surely satisfy those hunger pangs and leave you wondering where to go next.

Whether you’re a breakfast person or not, I’m sure you can relate to (or at least are familiar with) this week’s feature. The origin of the breakfast sandwich dates back to 19th-century London but was popularized in the early 1970s in the United States. I don’t recall when I first tasted one, but I know when I taste a good breakfast sandwich (like this one from Notty’s), it’s ingrained in my memory.

I’m likely not mentioning any ingredients you don’t already know but hear me out on this. The muffins are made on-site daily with fresh dough in their muffin maker, which produces textbook flavor and form. Hearty slices of ham, perfectly cooked egg, and cheddar cheese are pressed and melted together creating a waterfall of gooiness that pours over the sides.

If you’re thinking that this is just like that fast food place that has a similar item, think again. Sure, it might look the same on the outside, but it’s freshness it what really sets this apart. And if you’re wondering how something being fresher can impact its flavor, please, take the challenge and try for yourself.

If you’re planning to hit the slopes and need something to grab and go and warm up those insides before getting your turns in, give this a shot. It’ll likely be gone before you park and start to unload your gear.

Notty’s Italian Burrito is located at 212 Elks Point Rd. Ste 107 in Zephyr Cove. For complete menu offerings and general information visit them online at nottysburrito.com or reach them by phone at 775-580-7166.
