OBITUARY: Wilma "Maxine" (Barry) Adcock

Wilma “Maxine” (Barry) Adcock lost her courageous battle with lung cancer on April 2, 2010. Maxine was born in Stafford, AZ to Pless and Ada Barry. She was raised and attended school in Newman, CA and graduated from Orestimba High School in 1960.

Maxine was a resident of Lake Tahoe for 42 years.

Maxine worked in the casino industry for 20 years and local retail area business until retirement.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jim Adcock and one daughter Janine Adcock of

Sacramento, CA. Maxine is also survived by her four sisters and one brother and many

nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Maxine loved to cook wonderful meals for her family and friends, and planting flowers in the spring in her beautiful yard.

Maxine was a charter member of the Moose Lodge-1632 WOTM for 32 years and a past Senior Regent.

She was also a past member of the Lake Tahoe Hi-Lo’s 4-WD Club for 20 years.
