The Silver Strings will perform at 7:30 p.m. July 13 in the Valhalla Boathouse Theater. Before this classy quartet came to be in 2000, the foursome played together in the Carson City Symphony. The performers have a history of exquisite musical ability.

In addition, Tilton teaches violin and viola. Elinor Bugli, also on violin, not only plays in the Carson City Symphony, the Foundation Orchestra and Ruby Mountain Symphony, but she also manages Silver Strings. Sue Kitts, on viola, is the principal violist of the Carson City Symphony. She also plays in the Carson Valley Pops and Foundation Orchestra. Kitts teaches violin, viola and fiddle and is an instructor for the Carson City Symphony’s “Strings in the Schools” program. Vicky Sweet, on cello, is the principal cellist of the Carson City Symphony and teaches Kindermusic and piano.
