Upcoming free community farmer’s market to provide access to fresh, local produce
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Food Bank of El Dorado County and the Marcella Foundation, with additional volunteer support from Bread & Broth and the Family Resource Center, are hosting the third Free Summer Farmer’s Market.
The Free Farmer’s Market will be held on Thursday, August 13th from 10-11 a.m. at the St. Theresa Catholic Church parking lot, 1041 Lyons Avenue, South Lake Tahoe. The remaining scheduled dates for the Free Farmer’s Market include September 10 and October 8, all at the St. Theresa parking lot.
This drive-through event will feature fresh produce and non-perishable food items. An average of 100 families received fresh vegetables, fruit, and essential grocery items from the Free Farmer’s Market over the past two months.
