Expedition Echo Snowshoe Trek With Sugar Pine Foundation

Along the way, our experts and friends at the Sugar Pine Foundation will reveal the mysterious world of trees in winter and touch on the effects of the Caldor Fire. Snow Science Snowshoe Tour

Truckee – “Join us for a Snow Science Snowshoe Tour at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 at Donner Memorial State Park Visitor Center. Led by Sierra Central Snow Laboratory Lead Scientist and Manager, Andrew Schwartz! Dive into the world of a snow scientist and the methods used to measure snow depth and techniques used to forecast snowfall. This is a 1-mile, 1.5-hour tour starting at 1:00 pm. The tour will meet in front of the Donner Memorial State Park Visitor Center. Bring snowshoes, water, snacks, and warm winter clothes. Sign up using the QR code. Walk-ins are also welcome! A Tribute to Frédéric Dross: Fundraising Event at Tube Tahoe

Stateline – On Wednesday, March 5 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tube Tahoe is holding an event in honor of the local man who died recently in an avalanche. The popular hill is offering 50 percent off of all tubing, with all of the revenue going to the family of Frederic Dross.

“Frederic was an amazing friend, father, businessman and athlete. We all miss him dearly, and hope this event will make things a little easier on his family,” said Tube Tahoe owner Mark Budgell.

Tube Tahoe is located at 3021 US50 in Meyers.

Damage Inc – Metallica Tribute
