Barton Health expands orthopedic and sports medicine services with new spine surgeon

CARSON CITY, Nev. — Barton Health welcomes orthopedic specialist Marco Mendoza, MD to Tahoe Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Serving the Carson City and Carson Valley communities for more than nine years, Dr. Mendoza is committed to delivering exceptional care that helps patients find lasting relief and return to active, pain-free living. 

Dr. Mendoza is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon and fellowship-trained spine specialist. He is experienced in treating complex back and neck conditions and developing personalized surgical and non-surgical treatment plans to help patients achieve optimal spine health.

Dr. Mendoza earned his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He then completed an orthopedic research fellowship and surgical residency at Northwestern University, followed by a spine surgery fellowship at OrthoCarolina Spine Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. In his free time, Dr. Mendoza enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding, golfing, and mountain biking.
