August 1, 1978 – January 31, 2026

Daniel Robert Casey was born August 1, 1978 in Los Angeles, California to the late Robert Yale and Diana Maria Casey.
Silverstrand Beach became home to the Casey’s in 1982.
Dan spent a lot of time in Lake Tahoe and decided to make it his second home. While in Tahoe, he made frequent visits to his friend’s Little Philly’s Cheesesteak Shop that made the BEST sandwiches ever! He was connected to the community and a select group of friends there too. Dan was always willing to pitch in to work on projects and inturn friends always made a seat at the table for him. He loved Tahoe.
From an early age, Dan spent hours drawing and painting what he loved; the ocean and the mountains.
Dan had an affinity for those with less, the misunderstood, the underdog and could raise your spirit in a heartbeat if you were down. He was a cheerleader to many and truly believed you or anyone could achieve anything if they really tried.
Dan loved his very own underdog and loyal companion, his dog Angel! She was lovingly by his side when he peacefully passed on to join his parents in heaven.
Rest in Peace Dan-the-Man, Dan-o, Dan, Daniel, Danny, Cousin Dan.❤️ He is survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and those who call him Brother.
