OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. – Palisades Tahoe has just announced they will be closing for the season on Sunday, May 24.

As one of many resorts previously looking at an April closure due the season’s conditions, the resort will have surpassed that by more than a month.

“The fact that we’re still skiing today is a testament to the creativity, commitment, and nonstop effort from our mountain operations teams,” Palisades Tahoe said in their announcement.

Their operating hours have been adjusted to run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gold Coast Express is expected to remain open until Memorial Day weekend. Shirley Lake Express is projected to continue operations until May 18-21 depending on conditions. Siberia Express had its last day of operations, closing on Tuesday, May 12.

“Closing weekend is always a special time around here. It’s when the community comes together to reflect on the season, celebrate the memories we made, and squeeze in those final spring turns before we turn the page and welcome summer. So rally your crew and come be part of the tradition.”
