INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – Boat ramps at Sand Harbor and Cave Rock state parks will have adjusted hours starting Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Nevada Division of State Parks officials said that as the sun sets earlier as fall approaches, boat ramp hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Oct. 1, the hours will change to 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additionally, the ramps will be closed when the National Weather Service issues a Lake Wind Advisory.
The Sand Harbor boat ramp will close for the season at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15. The main parking lot will remain open for the winter allowing non-motorized watercraft to launch from the main beach.
The Tahoe Resource Conservation District will take over Cave Rock boat ramp operations on Oct. 1.
Boaters are advised to check Tahoe Boat Inspections for hours and closures.
