Prescribed fire operations continuing

Prescribed burns will continue at several locations around Lake Tahoe on Monday, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

Operations may continue through the week and weekend if weather, staffing and conditions allow.

Fuels management crews may carry out operations on Spooner Summit on the East Shore and in the Luther Pass campground off Highway 89 near South Lake Tahoe.

On the West Shore, operations may take place off Tahoe Park Heights Drive in Ward Canyon, on the west side of Highway 89 near Tahoma and near D.L. Bliss State Park.
