Fatal crash near Spooner Summit closes eastbound U.S. 50 early Wednesday

SPOONER SUMMIT, Nev. – The Nevada State Police are investigating a fatal crash on eastbound U.S. 50 just east of Spooner Summit.
The highway is closed to eastbound traffic at Spooner Summit according to the agency’s update at 4:40 a.m.
According to their post, the closure is expected for three to four hours.
Officers are asking the public to avoid the area.
