With a bounty of new snow and the holidays in full swing, there’s plenty to celebrate at Lake Tahoe. But the biggest celebrations of the winter are yet come. Fireworks, magic and all kinds of different music are among the varied options for celebrating the start of 2016 at Tahoe’s South Shore. Here are a few options:

The Divided Sky

South Lake Tahoe’s own DJ Berkmon is set to ring in 2016 with a dance party at this Meyers haunt, located near the intersection of Navahoe Drive and U.S. Highway 50 at the bottom of Echo Pass. Details are available by calling 530-577-0775.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe

The Radio Rebels, a Southern California ’80s rock and variety party band, will play everything from British new wave to U.S. Top 40 to glam rock. Harrah’s Lake Tahoe

DJ Rick Gee and DJ Jayceeoh are set to perform at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe’s Beyond the Looking Glass New Year’s Eve Party at Peek Nightclub. Doors open at 10 p.m. Tickets are $50 plus fees. Harveys Cabo Wabo Cantina

Las Vegas’ Garage Boys round out a two-night stand with a New Year’s Eve performance at this Harveys Lake Tahoe bar and restaurant. The group plays a little bit of everything, from reggae to glam rock to old-school country. Tickets are available at Cabo Wabo, which is located downstairs at Harveys Lake Tahoe. Heavenly Village

The Loft

South Lake Tahoe’s newest venue, The Loft, will hold a pair of celebrations New Year’s Eve. The first will be a dinner show featuring magician Tony Clark for $75, with seating starting at 5:30 p.m. The second celebration starts at 8 p.m. and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, wine, beer, music by DJ Abe Lemus, party favors and a champagne toast. MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa

One ticket will buy revelers entrance into the casino’s three New Year’s Eve celebrations at the casino, including parties at Opal Ultra Lounge, Blu Nightclub and the casino’s convention center. The festivities include music by party band Pop Fiction, go-go dancers and body painting. Events start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $75 the week of the event. M.S. DIXIE II

This Lake Tahoe paddle-wheeler will set sail from Zephyr Cove Resort for a New Year’s Eve Cruise at 9:30 p.m. Thursday. The cruise includes a buffet, live music and dancing. Rojo’s Tavern

SnowGlobe Music Festival

The SnowGlobe Music Festival concludes with a third day of celebrations on New Year’s Eve. Performers include Dillon Francis, G-Eazy and Ghostland Observatory, among others. Tickets for Thursday are $119. The festival also includes a host of after-parties around the South Shore for ticket holders.
