INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino, a spacious resort nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and on the shore of Lake Tahoe, announces the promotion of Andrew De Lapp to resort manager. In his new role, De Lapp will support all aspects of the resort’s operations, from front office and guest services to dining and spa.

“We are thrilled to announce the well-deserved promotion of Andrew De Lapp to resort manager,” said Pascal Dupuis, general manager of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. “Andrew has been an invaluable part of our team for the past five years and is well-prepared for this new and exciting chapter in his career. I look forward to seeing Andrew continue to grow in this role while doing what comes naturally to him – caring for our guests, colleagues, and community.”

Andrew De Lapp

Growing up in Australia, De Lapp realized an interest in hospitality at a young age while visiting his friend whose dad was the general manager of a hotel in Downtown Sydney. He was intrigued by the opportunities available working in hotels and the endless opportunities to live and work around the world, and decided to follow his interest by pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Hotel Management at the International College of Management in Sydney.

After graduating in 2007, De Lapp moved to the U.S. where he held a one-year internship at Nine Zero Hotel in Boston, MA. Following his time in Boston, he moved to Chicago where he entered Hyatt’s Corporate Management Trainee Program and worked as an assistant front office manager at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. He was quickly promoted to Park Hyatt Chicago where he held various roles ranging from assistant executive housekeeper to front office manager.

In 2014, De Lapp moved to New York City where he was a pivotal member of the pre-opening team of Park Hyatt New York, the first luxury hotel to open in the city in 10 years. While in New York, he helped to successfully launch the hotel and achieved the Forbes Travel Guide 5 Star rating within the property’s first year of operations.

Before his move to Lake Tahoe in 2019, De Lapp held positions as assistant director of operations at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa in Honolulu, HI, and Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, CA.

“I am honored to be named resort manager of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe,” said Andrew De Lapp. “In this new role, it is my goal to continue the legacy of this amazing resort by providing our guests with incredible experiences, give our colleagues opportunities to grow in their careers, and be a strong partner within our local community. After having lived in the Lake Tahoe area for more than five years now, I look forward to continuing to be a part of this incredible community my family and I call home.”
