Lake Tahoe yacht gets $3.2M in auction

A world-class luxury yacht at Lake Tahoe ” the Sierra Rose ” sold for $3.25 million at auction last week to a Nevada bidder.
J.P. King Auction Company, an Alabama-based outfit specializing in luxury properties, made the announcement over the weekend. More than 40 investors made bids.
The auction took place on the vessel. In addition to Nevada, the auction received inquiries from eight other states ” California, Florida, Arizona, Texas, Utah, Minnesota, Indiana and North Carolina ” along with 12 countries ” France, Germany, Canada, Belgium, Netherlands, Australia, Turkey, Lebanon, Hungary, South Africa, Turks and Caicos and Mediterranean Seychelles.
Sierra Rose is a Finney-crafted luxury motor yacht presently docked at Tahoe Keys Marina. The yacht is a tri-level, three-bedroom, 3.5-bath vessel featuring lavish amenities throughout that include a gourmet galley, Jacuzzi tub, helicopter pad and 20-foot Grand-Craft sport boat.
