With the help from local news media, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department received information leading to the identification and arrest of a subject allegedly involved in a stabbing outside a Lake Tahoe casino on Oct. 11.
Secret Witness information was received after local news media broadcasted and printed a plea for information concerning an incident in which a 23 year-old Carson City man was stabbed several times in a dispute over a parking spot.
Twenty-four year old Remengesau William Erungel of Reno, Nevada was arrested Saturday in Reno, pursuant to a warrant of arrest issued by the Tahoe Township Justice Court charging him with the crime of attempted murder with the use of a deadly weapon.
Erungel is currently held under a $100,000 cash only bail and will be returned to Douglas County within the next couple of days to face those charges.
